         An Emergency Preparedness Information booth, located at the front of the store, is open from 10AM-3PM nearly every weekend.

         Courses in the skills of everyday jobs of home repair, which are offered by Howard County Community College Continuing Education Department (410-772-4823), are taught in cooperation with Clark Do It Center, and meet at the store. Please look for the Howard County Community College Continuing Education Brochure Winter99/Spring00  when it is issued this fall for more information. Take time to look for the " Secrets of Home Repair" Course.  We have listed this past spring's course descriptions below. We hope to see you in next spring's classes.

  • KITCHEN AND BATHROOM PLUMBING--Simple repairs for kitchen faucets, dishwashers, toilet's and bathroom sinks, tubs and showers will be demonstrated. XE 815 6459 
  • PAINTING -- Learn the proper methods to prepare drywall for painting as well as what brushes, rollers, edgers and paints are needed for professional results.   XE 815 6460
  • SMALL ENGINE REPAIR -- Simple maintenance will be shown for lawn mowers and other small engines which will keep them running longer. XE 815 6461
  • INTERIOR WIRING CIRCUITS -- Learn safe and easy methods to wire lighting circuits, switches, receptacles and household devices.  This section has been expanded to include interior wiring, trouble shooting, lamp cords, telephones, televisions, computers, and low voltage appliances. XE 815 6462
